HISTORY

The student-run public relations firm of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Tourism and Psychology from Universidad de San Martín de Porres was founded on March 15, 2014 under the name of PR USMP. The Firm started operations in the settings of the Workshop of Public Relations of the Professional School of Communication Sciences located in the area of Surquillo in the city of Lima.

The Professional School of Communication Sciences works under high standards of pre-professional and professional education making possible to ensure an adequate running of the student firm and its members performance as advisers.

In PR USMP, students put into practice the theory they learn in class. They combine their academic knowledge with the experience in first-rate public and private organizations. They train themselves to be future professionals in research, planning, execution, design of PR strategies and assessment, and they contribute to the productive, competitive and profitable management of small, medium and large companies both national and international.

In year 2014, Global Mapping SAC was the sole company to receive advisory services.  Later, due to the work and efforts of the members it was possible to contact 7 more organizations among public, private and NGOs that have been advised on the development of interrelational and communicational strategies by students from 2nd to 10th semesters from the Professional School of Communication Sciences.
